First and foremost, I would like to commend you for taking the brave step of seeking support. I understand that reaching out for help can be daunting, and I want you to know that you're not alone on this journey.


What is Psychological Counselling? Psychological counselling is a collaborative and confidential process where a trained professional offers a safe, non-judgmental space for you to discuss and explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It aims to help individuals gain insight into their difficulties or distress, establish coping mechanisms, and work towards meaningful change.


What Can You Expect From the Sessions?

  1. A Safe Space: Every session is confidential, ensuring that you have a private environment to share your feelings and concerns.

  2. Listening & Understanding: I will actively listen to your concerns and work to understand your perspective, without judgment.

  3. Collaborative Goal Setting: We will work together to identify and set achievable goals tailored to your unique needs.

  4. Skill Development: Over time, you may learn new skills and strategies to manage your emotions, thoughts, and behaviors.

  5. Regular Feedback: You're encouraged to give feedback about your therapy experience, ensuring it is as effective as possible for you.

What Does the Session Need From You?

  1. Openness: While it might take time to build trust, being as open and honest as possible can help you benefit the most from the sessions.

  2. Commitment: Regular attendance and active participation in sessions will help you move closer to your goals.

  3. Patience: Change doesn't happen overnight. Celebrate small victories and be patient with yourself as you navigate this journey.

  4. Medical and Mental Health Documentation: Please bring along any existing medical and mental health documents. This aids in providing a comprehensive overview, ensuring our sessions are aligned with your unique needs.

  5. Points of Discussion: Consider making a list of specific points or concerns you'd like to address. This ensures that we navigate through all pressing matters during our time together.

  6. Collaboration: The counseling process is a two-way street. Know that your counsellor is not a magician and will need your collaboration. While I am here to offer guidance and perspective, the sessions' efficacy is contingent on our collaborative efforts. Your active participation and eagerness to engage are pivotal for meaningful progress.

  7. Feedback: If something doesn't feel right, or if you have concerns about our sessions, please let me know. Your feedback helps in tailoring the therapeutic process to best suit your needs.

How many sessions would be needed?

There are no fixed number of sessions, however, it depends on, your challenges, personality, life circumstances, session frequency, the defined goals & your commitment.


Remember, seeking support is a sign of strength, not weakness. I'm here to guide and support you, every step of the way. Counseling is a journey of partnership. Together, we will explore, understand, and navigate your experiences. I'm excited about the transformative strides we will take together, and I'm truly honored to accompany you on this journey.
